What do I do about chronic back pain that doctors refuse to take seriously?

Ever since I was 14 (I'm 19 now) I've had horrible pains in my lower back. I don't know of it's nerves or muscles or what but it's a sharp jabbing pain that radiates down my legs to knees and up my back and torso to my chest. I've gone to numerous doctors about it, they've taken x-rays, but can't find what's wrong. Since they can't find what's wrong, they seem to think it's no big deal and I'm just exaggerating the pain. Over the years the pain has grown more intense and frequent and I've grown tolerant to the prescription pain pills they've been giving me, which include Naproxen, Skelaxin, and Hydrocodone. They only gave me Hydrocodone once last year when I went to the emergency room because of the unbearable pain. Since then, however, doctors refuse to give me any "real" pain medications (Vicodin, Oxycontin, Percocet, etc.) because they still have yet to find what's wrong with me. They aren't trying, though, and their idea of figuring it out is just doing x-rays over and over knowing it's going to be the same damn thing it was the first 5 times. They're doing nothing to help cure the pain and refuse to give me pills to ease the pain. It's so bad now that I can hardly sleep at night, I wake up every night writhing in pain, I miss class all the time because hte pain is so intense that any movement cause it to shoot and radiate all over my body, I can't run, work out, play sports, or do anything I used to do anymore, yet the still act like I'm just overreacting. I've seen 4 different doctors about it. They're too stupid to figure out what's wrong so they just assume I'm faking it and trying to get pills. How can I be taken seriously? I've been having to borrow pills from my brother and other friends because of the doctor's reluctance to prescribe me any.

Immediately after waking up and drinking a glass of water i began experiencing severe pain in my lower abdomen (right above the waistline). It would come in waves, every 10-15 min, and lasted a few minutes at a time. it felt like i had a hot knife in my gut, i was writhing in pain. Ok, so if I got it right you had a dream as a child, with some dramatic changes now as an adult since Christmas. Something happened in your life around Christmas that started this all. My guess is a traumatic experience in where the innocence of your childhood is gone. Maybe a loved one from your childhood died, a recent pregnancy, or even a big move. Something happened that made your subconscious start grieving your childhood. The best thing that you could do is grieve consciously, look at old photographs, talk to friends, maybe even cry a little, and then let go of whatever your holding onto so that both you subconscious and your conscious can move on. Help! My parents won't let me drive!?

I'm 15 (turning 16 in 4 months) and have yet to learn anything about driving. I have not been to drivers Ed and my mother said I can next summer (around the time I turn 17!) and when I'm done with drivers Ed I will have to wait 6 months to get my licences! And then after that I can only ride with an adult! I'll be 17 and having to ride with my mom everywhere! And after I get my licences I'll have to wait another 6 months before I cam drive by myself. Hmmm 18 and I finally get to drive on my own! I hate it! I go to a really small school and know for a fact everyone in my grade (sophmore) has taken drivers Ed already and some are get their licences! One of my friends already has a CAR! I've none my BEST friend ayla ever since the day I was born. Our parents we bffs all through elementary school until they hit there 30's when a personal problem happend. I need advice on my relationship...should I stay or should I go?

I've been engaged for about 7 years...been putting it off because I want to make the right decision, I LOVE HIM, don't get me wrong, but all relationships have ups and downs. Ive created and deleted about 15 characters now in Oblivion because I'm confused on what kind of character to make as my main character (Take all the way through the game, expansions, get very high level, top rank in guilds, etc.) Which would be more fun or easier to make as a main character? An archer assassin that attacks from the shadow or a Battlemage that uses magic from a distance and a blade when the fight gets up close with a summoned minion thrown in?

Is This a good summary for my book?

I don't read much young adult fiction. The story sounds good. You have a strong premise. My only concerns being such a large group of characters to deal with as well as the fact that they are teenagers. Depending on their ages, when in the real world aren't they going to be somewhat limited? As angels I suppose they can sort of conjure money as well as a place to live. But that one detail of no adults being around and of course school always baffles me.

Legal question about telephone harrasment?

I met with the prosecutor and of the three they charged me with harrasing phone communication and threw the other two out. Those were thrown out because they were lies and i had witness proof. i did however send a FB message to her with vulgar language. i was guilty of that not that i harrassed her or threatened her but because it was viewed as an "annoyance and under ohio revised code it is considered harrasment if you threaten, harass, or annoy. This was not done on her behalf for justice but merely to try and mess my life up and give me a record. i have witness statements and everything. So ive had a well established tank for about a year and a half now and ive had an African Leaffish, an archer fish, a peacock eel, an elephantnose, and some platys in there since it began....My platy population has dwindled down and i was looking into introducing several types of german ram cichlids ( German Blues) (German Golds) Etc....I was wondering if my elephantnose might have an issue with the rams or will he be able to hold his own and defend his home without being stressed ( a cave in the corner of the tank)......Any advice would be awesome! Should I tell The husband of the 3 year affair I had with his wife?

I had an affair for 3 years with this amazing woman. We shared so much together and were very happy. We had a physical relationship for 3 years including 3 miscarriages and dealt with alot of pain. Back in March she decided to get divorced first before we are to continue our relationship. Needless to say it's been 3 months and she's still with him and on FB he's acting like nothing happened. Dealing with rude cousins?

How do I deal with rude and disdainful cousins? I have been nothing but polite and nice to them, yet they snub me and treat me as though I am not worth talking to. For example, I actually sent my cousin a message on Fb the other day, via chat, and she actually cut me off mid conversation, without even saying, "talk to ya later"etc...I thought it was so incredibly rude. Yet when I looked on her Facebook page, she was being friendly with other people. She's not the only cousin who has treated me this way. I rarely message them, so it's not like I am bugging them or anything, and of course,they have never sent me any messages..So, should I delete them from my Facebook "friends" list or just ignore them(which is hard to do, because I have to see their pictures on my Facebook page. I did delete them from my news feed, so that has helped. I am just so disgusted with the way that they treat me, and I wish that I could either tell them all off or show them that I am not the loser they think I am. Any good,helpful suggestions?

Does anybody know how to find a book based on description of major plot points alone?

I started a trilogy a while back but was unable to ever find the third of the series, so I figured I would come back to find it and read it later. Unfortunately, I have forgotten the names of both the series and the first two books, as well as the author. I only remember I loved the adventure-style of the book and hated the fact that the person who they build up for you to believe to be the main character is killed at the end of the first book, and that it is actually his son who fits the legend. I remember the main character was significant because he was supposed to be a master archer, and he is killed when his friend betrays him and murders him out of jealousy for marrying the woman he loved. I don't remember much else than this, but if anyone thinks they might have any idea of the books I'm thinking of please respond I would love to be able to find them again!

5'11" and 110 pounds?

I'm a male and 22 years old. I have tried everything to gain weight and nothing has seemed to work. I have never eaten properly since I was a child only eating one small meal a day sometimes nothing just depends. My eating problem has progressed so far that I even forget to eat, my stomache won't growl,I don't feel any fatigue whatsoever so it just slips my mind after a hard days work. My doctor has tried his best by giving me anti-depressant medications to make me hungry but to no avail. If i eat more than once in a day I feel terribly sick, I don't throw it up or anything but i'll writhe in pain from severe abdominal pains and cramps for hours. I do have celiacs so i'm used to the cramping from that and its not the same. Everyone just tells me "well start eating" its gotten to a point where my family and friends are agitated and hostile towards me thinking I can just magically change but its far from that easy. I work in an acute care hospital and have been doing in home nursing care for years as well so I am well aware of the effects it can have on my body. I need help. What is a good method to help me get to a more normal weight? An excercise of stretching my stomache maybe? Any advice will be greatly appreciated!

My toe is hurting so bad! Why? Please help!?

Hi all. The other day I was on vacation to see my cousins. When I went to hug my cousin Liz, she accidentally stepped on my right foot because I wasn't paying attention. It hurt very badly but later it had felt a little better so I thought that the pain would be gone by the time I went to bed. But when I sat down on the hotel bed and glanced at my foot the toe next to my big toe was very swollen and red. The same toe on my other foot is very skinny and it has a kind of slope to it so it's even skinnier at the base where it connects to my foot. But my swollen toe... it's wide as a Sharpie marker and there is a big bump on the top. I think Liz popped the knuckle on my foot, and that was the 14th. It's the 21st now. It has been a full week and it still hurts terribly and is just as swollen as it was the night I hurt it. I have to limp because of the pain, and I'm ready to chop the toe off with a machete because if even a strong breeze hits it I'm writhing in pain on the floor. I have applied ice to it, I have massaged it, I have soaked it in cold water, but it's still killing me! What could I possibly do to help it heal faster? If I have to let the pain run its course, please tell me how long it could take! Thanks in advance!

Mordor Catapults in Battle for middle earth 2 question?

I play BFME with a bunch of friends and its really fun until this dude came along and started playing with Mordor. His Nazgruls would rape everyone's base before our armies even met. Playing with the elves, I easily killed his Nazgruls with Mirkwood archers. After a few turns of sweet victory, he started creating an army of catapults that raped my archers before they could finish him off. Eventhough I tried different tactics with a mix of cavalry and archers, nothing seemed to work. Any advice?

I would add Urgent Tuning to a quick-synch deck. Mainly because, if you're in the battle phase then you can send monsters that add up to the synchro monster's level and then you can bring out the synchro monster during that battle-phase. Wow my dad keeps b----ing me about my grades... I'm a freshman in highschool and have 3 A's, 2 B's and 1 very high C(78). The C is in Honors language arts (I have 2 honors classes). What my dad does not understand is that the teacher sucks at teaching. I have a question on this dream of a snake i saw today early morning and if someone can interprete what i saw.?

hi, today morning, i saw a snake in my dream. at first it was little and it was in a bucket of water in the bathroom . as i went to wash my feet, i didn't notice it at first but when i took out the water with a mug, i saw it coming out. i felt threatened, but strangley the snake was not aggressive, and it was trying to find a way out to get away from me. i felt scared that it would hurt my family in the house, so even though it didn't attack me, i started to beat it with the mug. i held its neck down to the floor with the mug i had, and felt its neck being mangled. it was writhing and trying to get away but not dying. then i saw it grow into a bigger, longer light brown cobra, but still not aggressive. i kept holding its neck down to the ground with the mug trying to kill it. then it managed to break free, and suddenly vanished from my sight. i felt scared and threatened as i thought that it would come back to take revenge on me and my family, as i had wounded it unnecessarily even though it didnt attack me or wasn't aggressive, and strangely i felt a bit of guilt and scared in my dream. why did i feel that way? what does this mean?

I am going to be buying some easton powerflight arrows, what size should i get.?

For my 32 pound recurve bow, should i buy size 300, 340, 400 or 500, arrows? One of the experienced archers at my club said that this is actualy a measurement of how much it bends, the higher the number the more it bends, and that i would be better off getting the highest number ones with my tiny bow. Way way WAY too many monsters...you need more spell/trap, staples to be exact. Got to be honest, I'm loving your decision to put in magic cylinder :) idc what anyone says that card is superior to d prison...just get another cylinder. While your at it, pick up a mirror force, torrential tribute, x2 bottomless trap hole, and maybe even a trap dustshoot ;P also, grab a giant trunade, monster reborn, and maybe even 1 2 or 3 upstart for quick draw power. TAKE OUT: waboku, lightning vortex, x saber urbellum (terrible card), tremendous fire, etc. you get the idea. KEEP: Ryko (like that it speeds up the deck), get a card trooper to speed up ur deck also. Basically what im saying is dont mix burn in with synchro speed summons and discards but focus on one thing and throw in different tech cards with different lock down cards both mained and in the side deck. Good luck and I hope it works out! :)

Beast decks in my perspective are not very good, i don't play yu gi oh anymore but i used to play alot and go to tournaments and win. I think you should add some burn beasts like des koala, mainly because i use to run a burn deck that almost never lost. I like it. When you first read the first couple of sentences you immediately assume that the narrator is the one being attacked, but as you read on you find that he/she is infact the attacker. Except for a couple of minor grammatical and spelling errors, it is good. One thing though, the word 'hop' used near the end gives me a mental image of a bunny... Pain in Abdomen: For about a year now I've on occasion experienced a very sharp pain...?

in my abdomen, just to the left of my belly button. It was always when I had been setting cross legged with my left foot under my right thigh. I just thought it was a nerve thing. Recently I've experienced the same pain while standing and/or lying down and I'm starting to worry. The pain is extremely sharp, enough to practically take my breath, but fleeting. If it continued for more than a nano second I'd be on the floor writhing in pain. Does anyone have any ideas as to what this might be?

Sometimes I get what i think is a hiccup and a burp at the same time. Then I'll get this intense pain that gradually gets stronger and eventually I'll be on the floor writhing in pain for at least 30 seconds. It doesn't happen often but when it does it hurts alot. Does anyone know what that is?

Seems like everything is so perfect but could he just be using me?

Help urgent! bearded dragon violent spasm?

my bearded dragon was climbing on her net and when i fetched her off she had this extremely violent spasm, her tail and body was writhing she tried to walk but couldnt. she seemed to poo out this read baloon like thing, it may have been normal poo covered in blood but it really didnt look it, it had a hexagonal pattern on it. after her fit she lay there almost dead but after a few more minuted she seemed to be okay except the odd droopy eye. the thing is the red thing went back inside her what shall i do? what is it?

There are LOADS of UK based companies which you can buy an air rifle from. Plus they need a UK license to sell in the UK, something which Archer airguns is unlikely to have, so theyd have to ship it to an airgun shop with a license near where you live so you can pick it up from them.

Honestly (and this may sound pretty standard) I think the BEST way to get revenge on this guy is just to spread the word about this story. Make it KNOWN what he's said to you and your siblings, and make sure the story spreads through the school. Something is wrong with my archer fish?

I've had a four inch archer fish for about two months now, and for the last few days he has been acting different. He is getting really dark in coloration and the whites of his eyes are a brown color and he has become real skittish. I've tested the water and everything seems normal. He is still eating but not as aggressively as he used to. I have no idea what is wrong with him or what to do? Any suggestions would be great!

Your brother was very inconsiderate with what he said. You need to see an OB/GYN. Talk about your problems and the side effects of the pill. Personally I think it would be a wise decision to go on the pill. Make sure the Dr. tells you when to start the pills. Its not always on Sunday as some people on this forum say. It has to do with your period. Its been so long since my wife was on the pill I forgot it she started taking them on the first day of her period or when he period ended, usually about day 5
