Looking for ideas for new fish?

So ive had a well established tank for about a year and a half now and ive had an African Leaffish, an archer fish, a peacock eel, an elephantnose, and some platys in there since it began....My platy population has dwindled down and i was looking into introducing several types of german ram cichlids ( German Blues) (German Golds) Etc....I was wondering if my elephantnose might have an issue with the rams or will he be able to hold his own and defend his home without being stressed ( a cave in the corner of the tank)......Any advice would be awesome!
